The Bellingen Jazz & Blues Festival at Coffs Harbour

The Bellingen Jazz & Blues Festival is usually held in August, and boasts a huge line-up of musicians and great venues.

Previous bands have include such legends of Jazz as - Jo’s Wizards of Jazz, the Roger Burke Quartet, Col Nolan & Brett Iggulden, Bellingen Big Band featuring the ever loved Swing Sisters, and Lea Gillard. Pianist David Helfgott has also made a special guest appearance. Typically With over forty-five performances by eighteen bands, over a three-day time-period, this Festival simply cannot be missed!

Of course, the weekend will be filled with plenty of food. Alfresco breakfasts are usually on offer on Fridays at Church Street, as well as the Welcome Party and Supper Dance. So, start the weekend off with plenty of food and eateries to keep every persons stomach filled past satisfaction! Saturday and Sunday have special markets and cuisine events as well.

The Bellingen Jazz and Blues festival can be attended by everyone in your family and the prices are rather reasonable whether you plan on attending for a specific day or the entire three days. Early discount passes are also available. And whatever you do, try to make it to the Jazz by the Riverside on Sunday. Bus services operate to the Riverside and back. What could be better than having someone else do the driving – leaving you to just do the enjoying!

Venues are usually free to children under the age of 14, and those under 17 for those attending the events at Jarrett Park when they bring an adult with them. There is no reason to not bring the entire family and make it a family outing.
