The Ice-skating Rink at the Big Banana is a fun place to spend some time regardless of your skill level. During the school holidays, there are weekday morning sessions. Other daytime sessions and weekend sessions run even while school is in session. For safety reasons, all children under the age of 5 are required to wear a helmet. Rates are extremely affordable ranging from $2.50 for the youngest of the family (ages 4 and under) up to only $12.00 for the adults. Plus, there are group rates available as well. What’s not to love about this deal? A family of four can enjoy the newest attraction at the Big Banana, the world’s largest, inflatable waterslide! Three stories high with breathtaking views from the platform leaves you screaming for more as you rush down the slide at an incredible 40-degree drop! Each ticket to the slide allows for a 1.5-hour session and the slide is open every day. Attend the World of Bananas Tour and learn everything there is to know as you are guided through a detailed presentation in Spectra-Vision. Once the educational presentation is complete, take the short plantation walk through the packing shed and then into the games room with interactive fun displays. The Big Banana has a long and rich history starting back in 1964, and even though there were set backs, it has stayed alive and become a monumental landmark not only in Coffs Harbour, but throughout Australia. It now has a gift and souvenir shop, Candy Kitchen, an Ice Rink, Wild Toboggan Ride, The Hippo inflatable waterslide, a café and so many other things that can only be appreciated when experienced personally.
