Strathfield Pittwater Yacht Race at Coffs Harbour Australia
If you are seeking a thrilling and exciting sporting event that will
keep you enthralled, the Pittwater to Coffs is an incredibly challenging
race that will prove to be an intense competition for every yachter
involved. It is an absolute must for those who wish to obtain offshore
experience. And an absolute must see for those with a serious
appreciation of Ocean-Racing events.
The Pittwater to Coffs Harbour has become Australia’s most popular
ocean-racing events. Offering participants a challenge that is uniquely
strategic, the racers travel through 226 nautical miles of the most
incredible coastline anyone has encountered.
Beginning in 1981, this year the Royal Prince Alfred Yacht Club has
joined with the Coffs Harbour Yacht Club to create an event that will
delight every person, whether on shore or the water.
The race starts at Broken Bay with the fastest yachts reaching Coffs
Harbour within approximately twenty-four hours. That is when the real
party starts. Bringing in sailors and land lovers from all over, the
race attracts hundreds of spectators. Anyone will delight in the
incredible site of all those yachts lining the Jetty, however, for some
of the best views, you may want to take a hike up Muttonbird Island.
After the race has been won and all the yachts are anchored, it may
be time to head into the Yacht Club to have an incredible mean, some
liquid refreshments and a great deal of camaraderie with your fellow sea
lovers. The menu offers entrees of Prawns made to order in a variety of
ways, Calamari, Salt & Pepper Squid, Tandoori and so much more. Main
dishes of Fish & Chips, Dory Filet, Reef and Beef and of course a
Seafood Platter delight that will satisfy every taste bud. Just save
some room for the incredible desserts that change every day!
Everything about the Coffs Harbour Yacht Race will thrill you. The
dates for the next race has not yet been released, but watch for the
announcements, as it is an event that you simply cannot miss.
